Initial Assessment Team (IAT)What are we?The Initial Assessment Team (IAT) is the first point of contact for adults and older people who feel they need support to live as independently as possible. What do we do?This team can provide advice and information. If you think you need practical
help at home, the team can arrange for an assessment of your needs.
What happens when I contact the IAT?We will ask for some basic details and usually ask what you think your needs

Waterside, M33 7ZF The EDT operates at weekends, bank holidays and weekday evenings/ nights
between 4.30pm to 8.30am. EDT is an emergency only service; otherwise enquiries
should be directed to the relevant daytime service, during office hours. If you think that a vulnerable adult is being abused with force, threats,
violence or fraud, report it to the Adult Abuse and Protection Line. Child Protection Line Is there a charge?The advice and information provided by the IAT is FREE of charge. However if you go on to use services, there may be a charge depending on your financial situation.
