Trafford Shopmobility19 Regent Road Opening HoursMonday to Saturday: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm What is Shopmobility?Shopmobility is a scheme providing powered and non-powered wheelchairs and powered scooters, to enable people with limited mobility to shop and use facilities across the towns of Partington, Urmston, Carrington, Altrincham and Stretford. Who can use the scheme?Young and elderly people who have mobility difficulties as a result of permanent or temporary disablement, age, accident or illness. How far can I go?Anywhere within Trafford’s town centres. Most footpaths have dropped kerbs at convenient points, which will accommodate the wheelchair or scooter. If you have any problems at a particular location, please inform the Shopmobility office. How does the scheme operate?On your first visit to Trafford Shopmobility you will be required to complete a simple form, and provide proof of identification (e.g. pension book, bus pass, drivers license, etc). Staff will help you to choose the best vehicle for your needs and you will be shown how to operate it safely. An area is set aside for trying the wheelchair or scooter out, and you can practice as much as you like. How can I become a member and what are the benefits?By becoming a member of Trafford Shopmobility you are entitled to one years unlimited use of either a wheelchair or scooter. Membership costs £20 per year, which includes a membership card. You will also be entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting.
