Trafford Town HallThe Trafford Information and Advice Service is a member of the City Pride network of organisations across Manchester, Salford, Tameside and Trafford, which work together to meet your needs. Competent and well informed Advisors within the network offer a range of information, advice and guidance services on learning and work.

What does the Trafford Information, Advice and Guidance network provide?

Signposting - organisations that are able to direct you to the services available to meet your needs.

Information - organisations offering a comprehensive range of resources, including databases, a variety of directories, and other useful books on learning and work. Staff may be available to help you search through the information at some organisations.

Advice - organisations with access to information and Advisors who are trained to talk to you about your choices, and direct you for more in-depth support if required. There maybe an opportunity to get involved in group sessions at some organisations.

Guidance - organisations who can offer you all of the above and interview with a professional Advisor to discuss issues connected with learning and work. These services may include: career development, CV preparation, access to high quality information and a written action plan, which will help you plan your goals and how to achieve them. Psychometric assessment and redundancy counselling may also be available at some organisations.

The network has been established to help you to get into training, find a job, or return to education. The advice our Advisors give is impartial and unbiased.

All our Advice and Guidance services are confidential. Personal information will not be passed on to any person or any other organisation without your permission.

The services you receive from any of our organisations will be based on your individual needs. You will be treated fairly and given equal access to what’s on offer. When you visit or telephone one of our organisations, staff will explain clearly what their service provides.

All our services are provided to the highest levels of quality. To make sure that we maintain these levels, we regularly request your feedback and opinions on how our services can be improved.
