Our support broker helps disabled people to access personal budgets and take control of their own finances. We work with individuals, parents and carers to create a tailored personal plan for social services that details your independent living needs.
A personal budget means:
YOU choose your own carers and personal assistants
YOU choose which services you use and when
YOU arrange your services around your own lifestyle
Our support brokers:
Work with you to look at your needs and what is available to meet those needs
Help you to find services and opportunities
Discover what is available for you and explore ways of helping you integrate into your community.
Help design a person-centred plan that clearly represents you and your chosen lifestyle
Support you to spend your personal budget creatively and to make your planned outcomes happen.

Trafford Centre for Independent Living now offers a free advocacy service for local residents.
The aim of our service is to:
Help you speak out about what you want and need
Help you to make choices about your life and future
Help you to understand complex paperwork
Our advocates can:
Provide support for you to live independently
Attend meetings with you to make sure your views are heard
Help you to understand complex paperwork
Work with you to make positive changes in your life
Work with Social Services to get the best possible outcomes for you
Visit you at home to discuss your needs
We accept referrals from carers, social workers, brokers, health workers, council staff and directly from you.
