Room Bookings

We have a number of rooms available for hire at the Centre for Independent Living. These include:

The Brookland Room

The Village Cafe

The Bowden Room 

The Hale Barn IT Suite

Art/Pottery Facilities

All rooms are accessible and feature an induction loop system. Refreshments can also be made available.

Our room booking policy is as follows:

CATEGORY A: Commercial/For Profit (Private hire for businesses, commercial hire, private functions, events etc)Income generation to meet company's financial targetsMarket Rate for similar local facilities
CATEGORY B: Not for Profit (Voluntary, charitable of other Trafford-based social enterprises providing services/activities to benefit deaf/disabled people)

Directly supports TCIL's aims or provides independent living support to Trafford residents

Discounted rate (To be determined, based on status of hirer, reasons for use and desire to ensure services/activities for local 
CATEGORY C: Not for Profit (Voluntary, charitable of other Trafford-based social enterprises providing services/activities to benefit Trafford residents)

Contributes to wellbeing of Trafford

public/ constitutes use

of public asset for

Philosophy of Use

Trafford CIL shall ensure that our facilities are utilised to their optimum potential to help the organisation achieve its vision and strategic aims and objectives, in particular to support Independent Living by disabled and D/deaf people in Trafford Borough.

The Company will seek to achieve a fair and appropriate mix of use, reflecting the diversity of demands and aspirations of Disabled and D/deaf people in Trafford Borough, the requirements of organisations seeking to provide services to Disabled and D/deaf people in Trafford Borough and other demands for hire; balancing these with the Company’s financial targets and constraints. 

Allocation of rooms and hire charges shall also take account of access needs, efficient use of space and affordability.
